CEC has been an employee firm since its funding. We are employee-owned, not an ESOP owned firm like many firms that identify themselves as being employee owned.
- We have valued our employee-owned status since our founding to help us achieve three goals:
Ownership Transition:Many firms are sold because there is no viable mechanism to transfer ownership from the founders to subsequent generations of owners. We will not need to sell CEC to transition our ownership.
Rewarding Our Employees:Our employees share in our success through stock ownership. Many employees who were not founders have equity positions in excess of $1 million. Our stock has consistently outperformed the public markets, as shown on the stock price history.
Employee Engagement:Through employee ownership, not only are our employees rewarded, they are engaged. When our employees see the fruits of their efforts in increased stock value, the level of CEC client service is enhanced.
CEC stock is not valued by CEC’s Board or other internal group. Our value is evaluated using an analysis of the growth in our profits, net revenues and equity, as confirmed by outside valuators.
